Built in 1938, Saltdean Lido is a Grade II* listed Art Deco landmark on the Sussex coast. Its elegant curves, sunlit terraces and beautiful ballroom create a setting that feels both timeless and relaxed.

The Ballroom
There are many elements that make Saltdean Lido a special place for couples to marry, from the outside terraces to the seaside setting.
Saltdean Lido is a fully licensed wedding venue.
Both the Ballroom & terraces are licensed for
Civil Ceremonies.
Our original Art Deco Ballroom is particularly glorious, with its elegant, curved lines and distinctive curved terraces. The Ballroom can seat up to 150 guests for a seated meal. For an evening party we can accommodate up to 250 guests.
Open Air Pool
The 40m open air pool is the Country’s only Grade II* listed Lido. The 1930’s unique crescent shaped swimming pool has been completely refurbished.
From sunset the building is entirely yours. When the pool is illuminated at night it provides a magical backdrop for special occasions.

We’re as passionate as our Head Chef about using exceptional produce and fresh locally sourced ingredients from handpicked suppliers across Sussex, including high welfare meats, sustainable south coast fish and local farm produce.

Our stunning terraces set the scene for unforgettable celebrations. Overlooking the shimmering pool with panoramic sky views, they provide the perfect backdrop for a romantic drinks reception or elegant evening gathering.
Fully furnished with stylish lounge seating, the terraces create a relaxed yet sophisticated atmosphere, ideal for mingling with guests. With the Rotunda doors opening directly onto the space, the flow between indoors and outdoors feels seamless — making it a spectacular spot for group photos, golden-hour moments, and memories that last a lifetime

As the vows are exchanged and the ceremony comes to a close, our elegant Ballroom awaits — seamlessly transforming into the heart of your celebration.
With its timeless design and Art Deco charm, the Ballroom provides a beautiful setting for your wedding breakfast, offering space for guests to enjoy fine food, flowing drinks, and heartfelt toasts.
As day turns into evening, the atmosphere shifts effortlessly, creating the perfect stage for live music, a DJ, and of course, dancing the night away beneath the soft glow of our statement lighting.
