Sea Magic

A day of family fun and aquatic encounters at Saltdean Lido, featuring mermaids and sea creatures!

Sea Magic will transform the Lido into a magical underwater world full of surprising and delightful entertainments and activities.

Meet a mystical mermaid in her giant magical deep sea 'Show Globe'. 

Look out for ‘The Whale’  a giant metal whale which swallows audiences whole, to enjoy a charming, playful and submersive theatre experience inside. Hula-hoop with Kiki LaHula. 

Prepare to join The2Men as the captain and his cadets make the rounds ensuring that everything is all shipshape. They are on the lookout for new crew to join them on their voyages. Watch dancers  conjure up a bubbling mermaid party.

Join the parade and dress to impress in a sea themed costume, become a mermaid with a shimmering tail, a sailor with crisp uniform, a pirate with eye patch and tricorn hat, or a sea creature, and stand a chance to win a prize.

The day has an environmental message, with local climate action groups on hand to inform us on protecting our waterways and oceans.

Much of the peformances will be poolside at the Lido, to make sure you capture all of these book a swim ticket via our website. Other performances and a children’s parade will be on the grounds surrounding the Lido building and the Oval Park.
