Jazz & Afternoon Tea in our Ballroom at the Lido

Join us at Saltdean Lido for a leisurely afternoon of delicious specially curated afternoon tea provided by Reading Room and mellow live jazz in our beautiful Art Deco surroundings.

Catch up with friends, celebrate a special occasion or simply treat yourself as you enjoy the music, relax and savour an afternoon by the sea. With jazz setting the mood and time to chat, it’s a lovely way to spend an afternoon together. Add a glass of fizz for an extra touch of celebration.

We are delighted to have Neal Richardson play for us on our fabulous newly installed grand piano, to entertain our Guests for our first ever afternoon tea.Having played in over 60 countries - not least at the Cannes Film Festival for Messrs Clooney and Pitt! - Neal is a highly experienced musician who will delight you with a selection of well-known classic jazz from Nat "King” Cole, Ella Fitzgerald, Sinatra, Oscar Peterson et cetera. Neal was also chosen to play for the opening of the London Raffles Hotel in Whitehall, and was the first Musician-in-Residence there, playing for London's most expensive afternoon tea!
