National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ)
The National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) is a comprehensive course designed to prepare individuals to work safely and effectively as pool lifeguards. The course develops the knowledge, practical skills and confidence required to supervise swimming pool environments, prevent accidents and respond appropriately to emergencies.
What the Course involves
Training includes pool safety and supervision, hazard awareness, emergency procedures, casualty rescue techniques, CPR, first aid, AED use, and effective communication. Candidates are also trained to recognise and respond to a range of incidents that may occur in and around swimming pools.
On successful completion, candidates gain the skills and qualification required to undertake pool lifeguarding duties in accordance with UK industry standards.
