Film Shoot 1st & 2nd July 2024

We are very excited to announce that Saltdean Lido has been chosen as a location for a large scale film production shoot. Not only is this fantastic for the profile of Saltdean and Saltdean Lido, but as a result of the shoot we will earn significant financial incentives which will allow us to reinvest in our facilities, equipment, programme and staff.

The days of the film shoot are 1st & 2nd July 2024.

During the film shoot both the Pool and the Café will be closed.

Season ticket holders will be allowed access to swim between 7am and 9am on both of these days.

All other rooms within the Lido Building besides the Pool and the Café will remain open, including exercise classes and the Gym.

Please note that on these film shoot days the production crew will be using part of the Lido car park so there will be some reduction in parking capacity.

Here is a statement from the Production:

'The BAFTA and Emmy-nominated actor Matt Smith (House of the Dragon, The Crown) is starring in the Sky Original adaptation of Nick Cave’s darkly comic novel The Death of Bunny Munro in the titular role. The six-part series written by BAFTA winner Pete Jackson (Somewhere Boy) and directed by Isabella Eklöf (Industry, Holiday), based on Nick Cave’s sophomore novel, is produced by Clerkenwell Films in association with Sky Studios. Multi-talented and acclaimed musician and writer Nick Cave also serves as Executive Producer.'
